This webinar will show you how to incorporate recombinant cytokines, antibodies, and protein purification tools from GenScript into testing a hypothesis that links chemotherapy related cognitive dysfunction with increased cytokines in the brain, leading to changes DNA methylation and subsequent alterations in gene expression in the brain. This webinar will highlight methods to test this hypothesis using products available off-the-shelf from GenScript in animal models. Topics will include:

1. Measurement of cytokines from rat brain from treated (with chemotherapeutic agents) vs. untreated rats using antibodies and SDS-PAGE products
2. Behavioral experiments on treated versus untreated rats to examine cognitive dysfunction
3. Administration of specific cytokines in brain regions, followed by behavioral experiments on the rats
4. Immunoprecipitation of methylated 5'mC DNA followed by quantification of methylated DNA from brains of treated rats versus controls
