Discover A New Frontier in Vaccine Development

Self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) is a type of mRNA that encodes a replicase to copy the original RNA strand within the cell. It shares many structural similarities with conventional mRNA, such as being a linear, single-stranded RNA molecule synthesized with a 5′ cap, 3′ polyA tail, and 5′ and 3′ untranslated regions (UTRs). Unlike conventional mRNA, saRNA offers a promising avenue for low-dosage, reduced side effects, and long-lasting vaccine outcomes.

GenScript is proud to be one of the first saRNA suppliers that offers tailored design and modifications with reliable quality to help speed up your innovative research projects!

Vector Name Capping type Modification in vitro expression in vivo targeting
HEK293T A549 Jurkat
GS-saRNA-1
(Vector for saRNA catalog products)
Cap-AU m5C ++++ +++ +++ spleen, heart, kidney
GS-saRNA-3 Cap-AU m5C or None +++++ +++ + spleen, lymph node
GS-saRNA-4 Cap-AU m5C or None ++++ +++ +++ Spleen

GS-saRNA-1: High expression across multiple cell lines with broad in vivo distribution. Recommended as a versatile vector for routine use, including immunization and protein replacement therapy.

GS-saRNA-3: Strong in vitro expression in non-immune cell lines; low expression in immune cells. Ideal for applications targeting non-immune cell lines with spleen-specific in vivo activity.

GS-saRNA-4: Comparable in vitro expression to GS-saRNA-1, with distinct in vivo distribution—primarily in the spleen.
