Rapid assembly of gene variant libraries to engineer proteins for user defined goals

Mutant libraries can be used to optimize protein function, such as enhancing expression levels, protein stability and activity, antibody affinity maturation and removal of hot spot degradation. Traditional methods for creating these libraries suffer from limited control over the codons introduced and variants can incur significant codon bias and early termination. The result is a large library with poor representation of variants causing a significant screening effort on the part of the researcher to ensure they are capturing the entire variation of the library. In this webinar, we will discuss a novel method for creating mutant libraries using a semiconductor-based oligonucleotide synthesis platform.

In this webinar, we will cover

Discuss importance of key features of mutant libraries and how they affect downstream applications

Explain advantages of using semiconductor-based oligo synthesis in the construction of saturation or combinatorial mutagenesis libraries

Provide examples of how this technology can create a more diverse and precise mutant library

In this webinar, you will learn
